About Music My Girlfriend :
Music Is My Girlfriend is a small label started by two friends who had dreamt of releasing records for a while. Especially the kind of music that usually does not get the chance to shine in the homes of people, and most of all in the hearts of people.
We do not narrow us down to a particular subgenre of pop music, at least not yet. That is one of the good things about releasing on cd-r, you do not have to put out a large amount of money and hope that people buy the records. And that suites us well, considering the fact that we have no intentions of making money, but hopefully we will not lose too much money along the way. But you can always be sure that we will be selling the records for the lowest price possible.
Along the way we will be making releases on printed cd-r, cd, 7", 10" and 12". But on the latter ones we will be narrowing it down a bit, making releases that are closest to the music that we have the most of at home in our record-collections, twee, c86, jangle, all the finest parts of pop.
The releases come in all kind of shapes and forms, and so does the covers. It can be a handsewn, a handprinted or a factory made cover.
We will soon also start a 7" singles-club. But more information about that later on.
