About SEKARWATI Sekarwati started their debute in Indonesia music sceene on April 23, 1998 before the Reform era and the collaps of what so called "Orde Baru" regime, the day then called and remembered as HARPRETNAS (Hari Kampret Nasional(Bat National Day)), based on Keppres(Presidential Decicion) number 69/23-04/98/XXX/RI which marked by a ceremony to accept the "Matek Aji Ajiku Jaran Goyang (The Death of Charmed Dancing Horse)" medal of Honour for the services and achievement to make chaos and distruction in the music sceene and theory. In Ethimological aspect, SEKARWATI was build from 2 words from 2 diferent languages. the word "Sekar" is from the Old Saxoneese and Viking Language "Sakkar" or "Zakkar" which mean "A Man who's send by god which has a Handsome face"... and the word "Vattye" or "Wattye" which mean "Wealthy and has a lot of women on his side"... So then by the thounge of local Kemanggisan men, the "Zakkar Vattye" transform into SEKARWATI,... so SEKARWATI mean " A Handsome man who's send by god that wealthy and has a lot of women on his side".Ameee
